What if I don't want to use an agent?

There are tons of buyers and sellers who like to attempt to sell their home without an agent. I totally support and applaud those people, but I still have belief that an agent would help make the transaction go smoother and with more confidence that the deal will close. Here is a few reasons myself and Realtor.com has to support that belief...

    1. We have loads of expertise
Want to check the MLS for a 4B/2B with an EIK and a W/D? Real Estate has it's own language, full of acronyms and semi-arcane jargon, and your Realtor is trained to speak that language fluently.
Plus, buying or selling a home usually requires dozens of forms, reports, disclosures, and other technical documents. Realtors have the expertise to help you prepare a killer deal—while avoiding delays or costly mistakes that can seriously mess you up.

    Dear "For Sale By Owner"

I am sure you get tons of calls from Realtors with "pony shows" on how they can sell your property. The reason may be because, statistically, 92% of "for sale by owners" end up listing their home with a Realtor.
I totally respect your decision to sell on your own, and my goal is to make sure you acheive your desired results. It's really brave of you to take on the responsibility of such a complex process of selling without a Realtor. I stumbled across this YouTube video of a FSBO that had the same idea but decided on a different option once she had an eye opening experience. I would love to serve as a resource to ensure you encounter the same aftermath. Please do not hesitate to contact me so I can show you what 2 things I do differently than any other agent in Tampa Bay. I'd be pleased to earn your business.

I was reading an article this morning and it included some valuable information for potential buyers I thought I would share.

Making important decisions, like purchasing a home, is exciting! One exciting change in our lives can make it easier to make other big decisions we have been pondering in our minds here and there. Quitting a job we no longer love, buying a new car and upgrading our closets are a few that come to mind but don't make a move until you have considered the financial backlash you could have to deal with while trying to find your perfect home. Here's 5 financial missteps to avoid while trying to purchase a home...

    1. Letting Your Credit Score Drop
Your credit score directly impacts your ability to get a home loan, the type of loan you qualify for and the interest rate. If you have borderline credit – a score in the low- to mid-600s – further credit mishaps can prevent approval. If you have credit challenges such as bankruptcy or late payments ...
